On 29-30 June, we (the AEIP) organise our final event "Building Sustainable Partnerships with Enrich in Africa & beyond". On 30th June, one of the sessions will be devoted to the Intellectual Property & vaccine.
The AEIP, together with the Research Fairness Initiative (RFI) and the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations (WAITRO) and North-West University (NWU), have joined hands to organize this session to explore the role and impact of intellectual property protection on access to vaccines and biologics.
In particular, the session aims to shine a spotlight on the interconnected multiplicity of factors impacting on equitable access to medicines during a global health crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic with the aim of potentially taking these learnings into future situations.
The AEIP-RFI-WAITRO workshop will include short presentations from invited experts from Africa and Europe, as well as a question and answer session.
To join the session Round Table on Intellectual Property: Vaccines and Patents or the AEIP final event in general please register here!
