Africa Europe Innovation Partnership Launch Event

Following the high-level policy dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation between the European Union and the African Union, the two-year flagship project has been launched. The Africa Europe Innovation Partnership's launch event is taking place on the 12th -13th September 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Participants will include policy officials, innovation and business network representatives from both continents, about 21 tech hubs (incubators, accelerators etc.) drawn from all over Africa and Europe, mostly working in domains of energy, health and agriculture. Among other event participants are start-ups, project advisory board members - experts in the African, European start-up space and innovation ecosystem.

The objective of this event is to get participants acquainted with each other, to identify areas of common interests and approaches to tackle common challenges. After the Nairobi event, other networking events will be organised in different countries to benefit many more start-ups and tech hubs. To support collaboration among participants, several webinars will be organised.
